Shelter Home is a privately owned manufacturer of upper promotional to upper middle residential furniture, built to be a whole-home resource for retailers of every size. We design and deliver wood and upholstered furniture across bedroom, dining and occasional categories, plus a growing program of accent furniture.
Our name says what we believe a home should be: a shelter. A calm, personal place to come back to. Every collection we bring to market is designed to help your customers create that feeling, with furniture that looks fashion-forward on your floor and holds up for years in their homes.
Shelter Home is the owner and distributor of Durafx and Aeralon performance fabrics, built to stand up to everyday life so every home stays a shelter for the way you live.
We are based in the furniture industry’s home market. Our permanent showroom is at 233 Main Street, High Point, North Carolina, where we introduce new collections every April and October.
The People Behind
Shelter Home
Shelter Home is led by furniture people with decades of experience on both sides of the business: making product and selling it to retailers.
Jason Clay, President. Jason curates and markets every Shelter Home collection. He works directly with retail partners and the rep force, and is active in the independent retail community. He is based in the Greater Cleveland area.
John Wampler. John brings more than four decades of furniture leadership. He joined Pulaski Furniture in 1980 and became its president and chief operating officer in 1993. He later led Amelia Home by COE and has been president of JGW Furniture since 2013.
Derek Lin. Derek is John’s long-time business partner at JGW Furniture in Southern California. Together they bring deep sourcing, import and operations experience that supports Shelter Home’s supply chain and West Coast operation.
For retailers, that combination means one thing: you are working with a team that understands how product gets made, how it ships and how it sells on the floor.

Upholstery - A growing line of stationary and motion recliners, sofas and sectionals
Many of our collections are designed to span rooms. The Novato collection, for example, runs across bedroom, dining, living room and home office, which makes it easy to merchandise a complete look.
